Bailout Tracker

By Cathy Spencer

Your viewers and users are anxious to know what is happening with their tax dollars. The bailout money has been doled out to numerous banks and other financial institutions but it's not very clear who has gotten what. Or what they are supposed to be doing with it. CNNMoney.com has consolidated much of the information with this "Bailout Tracker". This page outlines the money given under TARP and the Stimulus Bill along with rescue efforts by the Federal Reserve. It includes other financial and housing initiatives as well as a list of bailed out banks and failed banks. It is a good resource for identifying what institutions in your market have received bailout funds and what is happening with that money.
