Are We Any Closer on Cell Phones and Cancer?

By Cathy Spencer

The question is out there. The answer isn't fully known. The latest research suggests there could be a risk, especially for long-time users who began using a cell phone at a young age. WBAL-TV aired this informational piece which approached the topic using the most up-to-date research targeted to teenagers and their almost non-stop cell phone usage. There was an interesting graphic demonstration of the reach of a cell phone signal in an adult's brain v. a child's brain. Until we know more, WBAL's expert suggests using a Bluetooth device, speakerphone or texting instead of calling - a trend that is already well underway with the "tweens" and teens.
